5th International PLUS-Forum Digital Uzbekistan opens in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 28 May, the 5th International PLUS-Forum Digital Uzbekistan officially opened in the capital city. The large-scale two-day event is held with the support of the National Agency for Advanced Projects and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan.

The forum remains a key platform in Central Asia for discussing pressing issues of digital transformation in public administration, retail financial services, IT and telecommunications, as well as retail and e-commerce.

Its main objectives include supporting the effective integration of digital solutions into public infrastructure, driving economic growth, fostering international partnerships, and promoting large-scale innovation projects.

Central Asia—particularly Uzbekistan—is now considered one of the most promising regions for high-tech business development. The country is seeing a steady rise in demand for digital financial tools, reshaping traditional consumption models from payments and lending to investment management.

The growing popularity of mobile banking, rapid adoption of BNPL models, and widespread use of QR payments signal a booming fintech sector and increasing digital literacy, especially among youth.

The International PLUS-Forum Digital Uzbekistan serves as a powerful platform for business networking, knowledge sharing, and building strategic partnerships across various sectors in Central Asia and beyond.

This year's forum helps unify professional efforts to scale digital solutions and expand international cooperation. In 2025, the event brings together key players in the IT and fintech markets of Central Asia and the EAEU, as well as global experts and public sector representatives.

More than 2,000 delegates are expected to attend. The business program features over 150 speakers from multiple countries, while the exhibition area will showcase products and solutions from around 100 exhibitors representing 36 countries, including Germany, Italy, China, the UAE, Portugal, Singapore, the United States, Türkiye, France, Switzerland, South Korea, the Baltics, CIS countries, and others.

The 2025 agenda covers a wide range of topics, including the development of digital government platforms (GovTech), the use of artificial intelligence in governance and business, the current landscape and future of the crypto industry, the expansion of e-commerce, cybersecurity challenges, and other key issues shaping the digital future of the region and the world.
